Where to start…

Ok, so here’s my first post…ever, might as well get right down to it.

I am making a real push to focus more on my illustration…I love to draw and paint, so that’s what I’m gonna talk about. In an effort to do this, I started the illustration below. My wife (Diane) thinks I should just call it “done” and move on…but, these things are never really “done”. So, if you have ideas, post ‘em – I’d love to hear them. I may or may not use them, but I love the collaborative process and I thought it would be a cool thing to try here.

* Just a note: I am new to the blogoshpere blogging (for you Chuck ;) ), so if you have any suggestions about linking, image sizes in posts, or whatever, I would love to get that feedback as well. Thanks!

Site looks good, dude. Drastically different from what I saw the other day when I was here!

Glad to see you join “the blogosphere” (though that term doesn’t do much for me).

As to the image, I like it very much as is. The only thing that would improve it for me is if it was animated…and the smoke was wafting slowly up…and some of the stars were blinking. Maybe crickets. ;-)

You are the man Dug. If I could only draw….I wouldn’t have to envy people who can.

Great website, Doug! I’m really impressed. I’ll check back often to see what you’re up to. Your work is amazing. I’m always open to a book recommendation so say thanks to Diane for me. I can’t wait to check out ‘The Great Divorce’.
