2D or not 2D
So, yeah, this site has a bunch of illustration and 2D work, but man do I love sculpting and making dimensional stuff!
Back in school at CCAD, one of my favorite classes was 3D Illustration, taught by one kick-ass prof, Mark Hazelrig (RIP). There was a lot going on in my life back then, and if I’d been paying more attention, I would have recognized my greater love for dimensional work and gone that route. But, “hindsight” and all that…so, I’m slowly trying to move more in that direction, but not quite sure how to do it at present.
Anyhoo, we used to do these incredible team collabs in 3D illo. where we’d make a huge Christmas display for the kids at Children’s Hospital. Below are a few pics of my favorite (we didn’t have cell phones then, or I’d have hundreds of pics of these…)
